It was certainly much cooler today here in Bishop, Avi had to get bundled up for her walk to church with Papa. The mountains (picture taken from my kitchen) have been getting some much anticipated snow all day long, To watch the weather change is a beautiful thing!

I don't even know where to begin... first sorry to everyone for not keeping you up to date with Avi's developements. Some exciting stuff has been going down at the Kinscher residence, Avi has gotten her first two lower front teeth!! I wish I had a picture to show you how adorable they are but she has quite an attitude when I try to look at them. She has really been picking up speed in her ability to get around the house and she loves to go after the cat (poor tipper, but she has been a good sport). Last night I went to go check on Avi in her crib and she was sitting up all by herself playing!! I hadn't seen her do that yet and was so proud. As if that wasn't enough, later on in the morning she started to pull herself up on things and was trying to get into a standing position. I sure do pray that I have the energy to keep up. Talk to you soon!

Here are of few pics of Ira & Kimberley's wedding, Congrats!
My sister Leyla has started a blog and I am SO EXCITED (if anyone was made to blog it was her) and it has also inspired me to doing a little updating of my own... first of course is Avi, she is doing great! She is on the edge of crawling, right now she is getting up on her hands and knees and she is able to "scoot" around the whole living room. I am definitely feeling the pressure to baby proof the whole house as she has gotten into some things she shouldn't have - sneaky little girl ;). She has started on bananas and seems to like them well enough although the texture makes her gag a little, it's kinda funny. My parents were up here a few weeks ago and we went swimming at a natural spring out in the desert, the water felt so good it was really hot that day. The one really cool thing about having a child is that everything we do seems like such a big deal cuz it's her new to her. It just makes the ordinary, like going for a swim so much more fun. Some very good friends of ours Kimberley and Ira got married on Sept 6th, my aunt Janet and my grandma (grandma moms as she is called) came to help out at the wedding and got to meet Avi. Erik & I have known Ira since we were kids (when I first met Erik I was surprised to learn that he knew Ira as well- small world) The wedding was so much fun and the setting was absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't be happier for them and wish them the best. Fall has finally arrived here in Bishop and last weekend the mountains got their first dusting of snow, it was very beautiful, however it didn't stay long. The trees are starting to change color as well. Fall is my favorite season and I can hardly wait for Thanksgiving, this year I will be down south with family and I am all ready dreaming of Turkey and cranberry sauce!
The Kinscher's had a great Labor Day weekend! The fair was in town and the fairgrounds happen to be right in our backyard. I really enjoy being so close to all the action, there was lots of food, games, rides and exhibits. Friday night Avi & I met Amber and the twins at the fair, the babies loved all the noise and lights. Since Bishop is so small you get to see everyone at the fair, so most of the time we were visiting. On Monday Erik, Avi & I went for a hike in the Sierra's. We drove up to Lake Sabrina and Hiked up to Blue Lake. It was a gorgeous day, and the temperature was perfect. Avi really likes her new backpack and sleeps most of the time.
Wow, can't believe a month has gone by since my last post. We've been busy and Avi is growing so fast. A few weeks ago she started rolling over from her back to her stomach (as a new mother, this absolutely thrills me and I can't stop myself from sharing it with others). We took her swimming for the first time to Keough Hot Springs and she loved it, she also went down south to visit with the fam and got to hit the beach of couple of days. One of those days we had an amazing BBQ down at San Onofre staying late into the evening. Avi got to spend time with her cousins, she loves to be around other kids, and it makes me a little sad to be so far away from our wonderful family. My mom was up here again in Bishop visiting and we did an awesome hike up Rock Creek, Avi got to wear her new sunglasses and made many new friends along the trail. We just got her a hiking backpack with a sunshade so Erik won't have to carry the umbrella anymore (all though I think he likes the attention it attracts) and I am so looking forward to hiking this fall and getting back into shape.
My mom came to visit this weekend and we are having such a good time. This weekend is the junior livestock auction at the fairgrounds, which just happens to be right behind our house. We took Avi over there to meet the animals. She got to see cows, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits and chickens. Growing up in south Orange County, raising livestock is a little foreign to me, but it's fun to see all the young kids involved and taking on responsibility.

What a great time we had yesterday! A BBQ at a friends house was especially fun this year. It was such a joy to be able to get together with other families who also have small children. The family hosting the BBQ has a recent addition, a 2 day old baby girl named Evie (Eh-vee) Belle. Evie is Avi's newest best friend and she is soooo beautiful. I love to think of these two girls growing up together in a small town and all the wonderful adventures they will have.

I went back to work this week and want to thank everyone who prayed for me! It turned out to be so much better than I thought it would be. The first morning I left Avi had just woken up and Erik was feeding her a bottle, she took it right away no problem and I instantly new everything was going to be o.k. All morning at work I couldn't wait to come home for lunch thinking that my daughter must be missing me terribly and I just kept envisioning how happy should would be to see me. Instead when I got there she was way too interested in looking out the window and couldn't even look at me to say "hi", she acted like she didn't even know that I had been gone. I suppose this is a good thing.
Or should I say Good Morning! I completed my first lesson in Hebrew online yesterday and I am feeling very motivated. Made some flashcards and have them all memorized (for now). I did start learning Hebrew from a book about a year or so ago and was doing really well, got sidetracked and forgot everything, needless to say I learned a valuable lesson. Gotta go, the baby is awake and much too soon.
What have I done?!! I have finally given into the peer pressure and created a blog. Do I really have time for this? While I enjoy visiting other's blogs, in the back of my mind I always have the thought, how do these people find time to keep up with all this creative blogging. I can barely get a shower most days, oh well... here we go!
